The IDIBAPS-Clinic has a new 3T Magnetic Resonance equipment and Luxes luminaires This new equipment has a more powerful magnet and allows to obtain better images of the organs and tissues than conventional resonance machines, which are 1.5T.
The replacement of the old RM has been made thanks, in part, to a grant from the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for infrastructures, obtained by the IDIBAPS Magnetic Resonance Imaging Platform (project code IBPS15-EE-3688).
With the updating of this equipment, a commitment has been made to be up-to-date with new magnetic resonance imaging techniques.
The new machine is a SIEMENS PRISMA 3T MRI that is prepared to carry out brain, cardiac and other body parts imaging studies with great spatial and temporal resolution. For example, it allows brain connectivity studies to be carried out with higher resolution than up to now.
This state-of-the-art technology will allow the participation of the Clinic campus researchers in international projects and improve the diagnosis, study and follow-up of patients.
As you can see in the image, the MRI room also has LED lighting by Luxes.

Client: Hospital IDIBAPS-Clinic
Installed product: LED lighting
Luxes has improved the lighting of the new Magnetic Resonance room of the Hospital Clínic, improving the lighting of the workspace as well as the visibility of the room, reducing stress and fatigue. In addition, it minimizes occupational risks, since they are luminaires of smaller dimensions and lighter.
