The IDIBAPS-Clínic has a new 3T Magnetic Resonance equipment and Luxes luminaires
The IDIBAPS-Hospital Clínic has a new Magnetic Resonance (MR) of 3 Teslas. This new equipment has a more powerful magnet and allows to obtain better images of organs and tissues than conventional resonance devices, which are of 1.5T. The replacement of the former RM has been made possible, in part, by assistance from the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for infrastructures, obtained by the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Platform of IDIBAPS (code of the project IBPS15-EE-3688). With the update of this equipment, a commitment has been made to be up to date with the new magnetic resonance image acquisition techniques.
The new machine is a RM 3T PRISMA from SIEMENS that is prepared to study brain, cardiac and other body images with high spatial and temporal resolution. For example, it allows studies of brain connectivity with more resolution than hitherto. This state-of-the-art technology will allow the participation of Campus Clinic researchers in international projects and improve the diagnosis, study and monitoring of patients. As you can see in the image, the Magnetic Resonance room also has LED lighting by Luxes. Article extracted from the Hospital Clinic Blog
Client: Hospital IDIBAPS-Clínic
Installed product: LED lighting
Luxes has improved the lighting of the new Magnetic Resonance room of the Hospital Clínic, improving the lighting of the workspace as well as the visibility of the room, reducing stress and fatigue. It also minimizes occupational risks, since they are luminaires with smaller dimensions and lighter weight.
