Barcino Tennis Club
The Tennis Club Barcino relied on LUXES for the renovation of the lighting of its sports courts, with the aim of reducing electricity consumption, lowering operating costs, and improving the visual quality of the facilities.
The project consisted of replacing the previous system with high-performance LED technology, ensuring continuous, directional light with high contrast and uniformity, specifically designed to meet the demands of sports competitions.
Technical solution
For this project, the PROTÓN projector was chosen, a robust and versatile luminaire that offers up to a 60% reduction in energy consumption compared to traditional light sources. Its design allows for multiple mounting and orientation configurations, perfectly adapting to the geometry of the tracks and ensuring optimal visibility without glare.
The photometric study of the system allowed for an average illumination of 539 lux with a uniformity of 0.93, values that ensure excellent visual comfort for players and spectators.
In addition, the installed LED technology reduces light pollution and extends the lifespan of the fixtures, resulting in lower maintenance and replacement costs, as well as a faster return on investment (ROI).
Regulatory compliance
The design and installation were developed in accordance with current national and international regulations, including the recommendations of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the UNE-EN standards related to sports lighting.
These technical frameworks were crucial in defining lighting levels, uniformity, and glare control, ensuring not only legal and safety compliance but also excellence in visual comfort and energy efficiency.
The intervention carried out by LUXES has allowed the Club Tennis Barcino to enjoy more sustainable, efficient, and comfortable facilities, where the quality of LED lighting enhances sharpness, color accuracy, and clarity in the game, elevating the sports experience to a new level.
