Nerja Cave

The lighting of the Nerja Cave represents one of the greatest technical challenges and, at the same time, an example of respectful integration with natural and cultural heritage. In an environment with over 30,000 years of history, where temperature and humidity reach extreme levels, we developed a completely customized lighting solution that combines innovation, sustainability, and heritage sensitivity.

The new lighting system has been designed to withstand the environmental conditions inside the cave, ensuring its durability and operation in a high-humidity environment. Beyond its resistance, the light serves an active conservation function here, helping to slow down the growth of fungi and microorganisms that could affect the delicate geological formations.

Through a thorough lighting study, we design and manufacture specific fixtures that enhance the natural richness of the environment without altering its essence. Each beam of light has been carefully calibrated to respect the chromatic balance of the rocks, highlight their ancient textures, and accompany the visitor in an immersive and respectful sensory experience.

This project is an example of how technology and light can coexist in harmony with nature, transforming into tools for conservation, interpretation, and emotion.
