Planeta Building, Barcelona

At LUXES, we carried out the interior lighting project for the iconic Edificio Planeta in Barcelona, with the aim of updating its spaces from a contemporary, efficient perspective that respects the architectural identity of the building.

Located on Diagonal Avenue, the building is one of the visual landmarks of the city. Its uniqueness required an intervention capable of reinforcing its character without altering its essence, while also providing a more contemporary, comfortable, and functional interior experience.

A luminous language with its own identity

The project is structured around two complementary languages. In the most representative areas, light takes on a more expressive role thanks to the incorporation of Geminy luminaires from the CORVUS SYSTEM range, in different diameters. These suspended circular pieces create a continuous light effect that adds personality, lightness, and dynamism to the space, becoming a key element within the interior architecture.

Its geometry contrasts with the linearity of the surroundings and helps create an elegant and recognizable atmosphere. In addition to its aesthetic value, these LED fixtures meet criteria for energy efficiency and light quality.

Technical lighting and visual comfort

In the larger and more functional areas, the proposal adopts a more technical and architectural approach. The presence of integrated light lines in the ceiling allowed us to provide uniform and precise lighting, especially suitable for open spaces with natural light entry. This solution enhances visual comfort and promotes an orderly perception of the interior.

To complete the design, we incorporated Gaia LED strips and Outward profiles to create indirect light and overall ambient lighting. The result is a project that updates the interior image of the building, reinforces its identity, and enhances spatial quality..
