Lighting for the new common areas of the Emergency Department

Luxes has participated in the lighting of the new common areas of the Emergency Department at the Hospital Universitari Joan XXIII in Tarragona, an intervention located on the ground floor of the new bridge building of the Parc Sanitari Joan XXIII.

The lighting project accompanies the transformation of this healthcare area, designed to enhance the experience of patients, companions, and healthcare professionals. The new space incorporates larger common areas, a third triage consultation room, new admission areas, and a higher-capacity security control, addressing the operational needs of a high-demand hospital environment.

At Luxes, we have developed a technical, integrated, and functional lighting system that provides visual comfort, spatial continuity, and a sense of calm in a particularly sensitive environment. The lines of light are integrated into the architecture to organize pathways, enhance user orientation, and reinforce the feeling of spaciousness and cleanliness of the space.

The lighting intervention helps create a serene, efficient, and safe atmosphere, aligned with the requirements of a contemporary healthcare space: clarity, precision, comfort, and adaptation to intensive daily use.
