Puzol Valencia

The municipality of Puçol, located in the Huerta Norte region of Valencia, is a privileged enclave between the sea and the mountains. With a valuable historical and natural heritage, the City Council opted for a comprehensive renovation of the public lighting, trusting LUXES for the design and implementation of a more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly lighting system.

Efficient and responsible lighting

The project involved the replacement of conventional street lighting, parks, gardens, and main roads with state-of-the-art LED fixtures and autonomous solar streetlights. The LYRA L and ICARUS fixtures were chosen for their ability to provide uniform, clear, and glare-free light, enhancing the safety and visual comfort of pedestrians and drivers.

Thanks to their advanced optical technology, these luminaires allow for precise light distribution, avoiding glare at both short and long distances. Their lighting design focuses on enhancing urban and monumental spaces, highlighting the most characteristic corners of the municipality, such as the Church of Saints Juanes and the Archbishop's Palace.

Energy savings and sustainability

The integration of photovoltaic solar panels has allowed a significant portion of the lighting to operate autonomously, reducing the municipality's electricity consumption by 70%. This measure not only decreases energy and installation costs but also extends the system's lifespan and reduces CO₂ emissions, reinforcing the environmental commitment of the Puçol City Council.

Urban design with an environmental focus

The project was developed in coordination with municipal technical teams, ensuring a clean installation, low impact, and no need for grid connection. Each light point was strategically sized to meet visibility and safety standards, optimizing resource use and adapting to the urban and natural landscape of the environment.

The new lighting system transforms Puçol into a model sustainable municipality, where technology and design combine to provide a comfortable visual experience, enhance public safety, and reduce environmental impact.
